Brynn: "A bit about the motivation behind this self portrait:

Having struggled with mental illness throughout many stages of my life, I have learned that being gentle with myself can help lighten some of the darkness. Mental illness can bring on feelings of shame, guilt, and self loathing - but choosing to have compassion, love, and acceptance for yourself, and trusting that those dark feelings will eventually dissipate, can ease the burden of depression. Sometimes we need to extend a metaphorical rose to ourselves ♥  “

Featured in Future Gallery's "Hope" group show, a gala benefit for Mental Awareness and Advocacy. 50% of the proceeds of all art sold are donated towards Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), a current leader in the research of sufferers of severe PTSD, major depressive, and anxiety related illness. Thanks to all that came out for the opening last night - your continued support makes a difference!
